Important Information Regarding 2020 Season Registration

Greetings Jr. Wolves families,

First and foremost, I hope this memo finds you all in good health and spirits during this strange and difficult storm we’re all weathering right now.  I hope everyone is taking the proper and necessary precautions to ensure you and your families are able to quickly return to our normal daily activities.

Given the current state of affairs where the future of many summer/fall activities are in a state of limbo, the Jr. Wolves organization wanted to reach out to our families and let you know how we’re approaching these ever changing times.

As you’re aware, we are in the midst of registration for our 2020 season with several key dates quickly approaching.  The Jr. Wolves board have been discussing several key topics pertaining to any potential delays and/or cancellations of the season and how best to find the balance between optimistic hopes and realistic actions.  We also realize that the sudden change in the economy and work situations has families evaluating any expenditures.  The Jr. Wolves organization has reviewed our current registration schedules and implemented some modifications to our plans to offer parents additional flexibility to get their athletes registered.  Please see those changes below.

Current registered families:

  • If you’ve registered with the split payment plan option, we’ve shifted out our schedule payment dates to the following
    • Tackle Football & Competition Cheer:
      • $125 per registrant due upon completion of registration session
      • ½ remaining balance due on May 31, 2020
      • Remaining balance due on June 30, 2020
    • Flag Football & Mascot Cheer:
      • ½ program cost per registrant due upon completion of registration session
      • Remaining balance due on June 30, 2020

Non-registered families:

  • We have extended the “Early Bird” pricing discount period (which normally expires on March 31) until April 30.
  • The modified split payments noted above are an available option for new registrations.

Financial Due Diligence:

The organization has also been reviewing all expenditures that normally occur during the year and the various timings of when those need to happen to determine how any potential delays and/or cancellations would impact the organization and our registered families.  There are certain items we need to order due to production lead times, and potential delays in delivery.

Delays and/or Cancelled Season:

To date, we have not heard from our governing bodies (TCYFL and IRCA) about any delays to the start of our seasons, nor have we heard of any cancellations.  As you know, this is still a very fluid situation and could change at any time.  We are currently working through multiple cancellation scenarios to develop possible modifications to refunds should a cancellation be presented.  Once we have details about modified refund policies (fingers crossed we don’t have to go down that path), we will communicate those to our families.

Our ask for you:

The Jr. Wolves realize that right now that everyone’s personal situation is different, but in order for us to provide the best possible experience for our athletes and families, we ask that if you can, please register as quickly as possible so we have a better idea about program counts.  Those counts have a direct impact on what sort of equipment/uniforms/etc. that need to be ordered.

Our program prides itself on being family focused, and that’s what makes us different and special.  Together if we all do our part to follow the recommended guidelines for safety, we’ll hopefully be able to put this difficult time in our past and shift our focus to a much brighter future.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, please feel free to reach out to me directly and I’ll do my best to address them (support@jrwolvesfootball.com).
